How much are custom invitations?
Each one-of-a-kind, custom invitation is personalized to meet your needs, so prices will vary depending on your individualized desires and budget. As a starting point, a custom, hand-screened invitation package (which includes the invite, rsvp card, and corresponding envelopes) begins at $1,500 for 100 sets. To get a price quotation for your invitation package, please contact us with your specific desires and quantities. Please allow 2-3 days for us to get back to you with your custom estimate.
When can we get started and how much time do we need for the process?
Once the job estimate has been approved, we require a signed project contract and a non-refundable 50% deposit. After that, the fun begins! The design process takes around 6 weeks, and production takes another 4 weeks. We typically recommend mailing your invites between 6-8 weeks before the event, and 10-12 weeks before a destination wedding. This means that you should contact us at least 5-6 months before your wedding, if not earlier. Rush jobs can be done for an expedited fee.
I live outside of New York City. Can we still work together?
Yes! We are happy to work with clients over email and phone.
How many invitations/announcements should I order?
It is wise to order extra sets to cover any last minute additions to the guest list. We recommend ordering 25 extra sets.
What type of payment do you accept?
We accept personal check, Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover Card, as well as payment via Paypal.
What is your cancellation policy?
If you need to cancel your order, 50% of the initial deposit will be refunded after 3 business days and 25% after 5 business days. There will be no refund after the 7th business day. Any goods or services ordered to fulfill your order (paper, ink, screens, etc.) cannot be refunded and will be deducted from the initial deposit, or billed to the client in the event the job is cancelled after the 7th business day.
What is screen printing?
Screen printing is one of the early methods of printing and involves the passing of ink through a mesh or 'screen' that has been stretched on a frame, and to which a stencil has been applied. The stencil openings determine the image that is imprinted. One advantage to screen-printing over letterpress is the ability to print light inks on dark paper. Another advantage over other forms of printing is the versatile nature of screen printing - you can print on almost any material - from textiles, ceramics, wood, paper, glass, metal, to plastic.
